All the details you'll need!
What is Wraparound? At its core, this program aims to help currently at-risk youth (and their families) get on the path to a healthier, safer and more positive lifestyle. Referrals for youth at-risk of needing higher levels of care are made, and a dedicated team (which the youth and family choose themselves) is assembled. These identified individuals are dedicated to serving and supporting this youth.
Funds for what? The Wraparound Team (located at New Directions) supports these families for many needs but sometimes those needs are not covered by existing funding streams. The "needs" we are referring to are small but impactful needs. For example: If a youth would like to play soccer in the fall, but has no soccer cleats this wraparound fund could help purchase those cleats. Or another example: A youth has been working hard to raise their grades in school...their wraparound team can treat the youth and their family to a "pizza night". We think it is VERY important to celebrate successes!
